How craniosacral therapy works
The two poles of the cranium and sacrum form a system with the membranes of the brain and spinal cord in which the cerebrospinal fluid (liquor) pulsates rhythmically. This rhythm is transmitted to the entire body and influences the development and functioning of the whole person.
Behind the rhythmic movements of the cerebrospinal fluid is a force that we call “primary respiration” or “breath of life”. It flows through and animates all living organisms. Throughout the body, primary respiration expresses itself through the regulation of all bodily functions. Changes in the craniosacral system and its rhythms provide the therapist with the necessary information for working with the affected anatomical, physiological and energetic structures.
How does a treatment work?
The dynamic balance in the bones, meninges, cerebrospinal fluid, muscles, fascia and organs can be felt with precise hand positions on the whole body. The client lies on a couch in comfortable clothing, but it is also possible to work on a chair or on the floor.
Fine contacts are used to support the body’s self-regulation. An inner attitude of mindfulness and appreciation is present. Biodynamic cranial work is non-invasive. It can facilitate a profound change back to health.
The intention is to promote holistic health, strengthen self-regulation, promote self-awareness and strengthen the ability to recover.
The craniosacral system consists of the skull (cranium), spine, sacrum, membranes, cerebrospinal fluid, nerves and fascia, which are connected to it.
The roots of osteopathy lie with the American doctors Dr. A.T. Still and Dr. W.G. Shuterland.
They researched the rhythmic movements of bones and tissue and their causes of movement. They discovered that these subtle movements come from our inner life force. They called this life force the breath of life. Which acts as a basic principle of life, permeates everything, brings vitality and regulates all bodily functions.
In the 1970s, this gave rise to the two directions of biodynamic and biomechanical craniosacral therapy.
Biodynamic craniosacral treatment is based on a holistic view of the human being that is geared towards health. It is holistic energy work with a gentle, non-invasive touch on the body.
For me, the biodynamic cranial treatment is a wonderful way of being able to accompany you in experiencing your inner connection and strength again.
I accompany you very gently with my hands. I am in contact with your body and support your system by connecting with what is healthy in you through stillness, so that the imbalance can be brought back into balance. I can see sensitively and invite the body to make appropriate movements if this can be helpful.
In the full depth of biodynamic work, I am only a companion-channel, trusting that your body and your inner health know exactly what they need and will do it.
In the language of biodynamics, we speak of potency, the life force, which expresses itself through three different rhythmic movements through to stillness, from which movement can arise again.
Healing takes place on your holistic level and simultaneously encompasses the body level of structure, bones, connective tissue, fluids and the nervous system. It supports health from the inside out and is a subtle and effective form of treatment for me.
I am happy to offer cranio sessions as a form of deep relaxation. It calms your nervous system in such a simple way and strengthens and relaxes you after an active day.
Sacral biodynamic work can support you with many symptoms. For example, if you suffer from migraines or back problems during dental treatment, if you experience emotionally overwhelming states, ∫, ∫ or even ∫, I see great potential to bring these imbalances back into balance.

Biodynamic cranial work has a supportive effect on acute or chronic complaints
Relief of current complaints such as physical pain and tension in the back, neck etc., headaches or after dental treatment.
Chronic complaints such as exhaustion or stress, which reduce and restrict the quality of life.
For physical complaints such as
– regulation of the nervous system, e.g. sleep problems, tiredness or stress
– to strengthen the immune system, e.g. sinusitis, infections, allergies
– for headaches, migraines, tinnitus
– to support rehabilitation after accidents, operations or illnesses
– to strengthen and harmonize the musculoskeletal system, traumas
– for physical and psychological support, e.g. exhaustion, depression
– for challenges in everyday life / states of stress / exhaustion
– Mental issues, recurring situations that block you
– finding resources in stressful situations
The positive effects of this method can include deeper sleep, inner balance, increased ability to concentrate and more vitality.
Preventive / Treat yourself to deep relaxation, a different kind of massage to calm down and be with yourself
The immune system is strengthened and vital functions are stabilized. After a treatment, we usually feel more relaxed, energized and alive.
